Walker earns rookie honor

Neil Walker has been named the second baseman on Topps’ Major League Rookie All-Star team. He is the only Pittsburgh rookie to earn a spot the team.
Walker hit .296 with 29 doubles, 12 homers, 66 RBIs and 57 runs scored in 110 games with Pittsburgh last season. Walker, who didn’t begin playing second until Spring Training, was recalled from Triple-A in late May and took over as a starter only days later.
The Topps’ full All-Star team is as follows:
