McDonald to skip start
James McDonald will have his next start skipped as he continues to deal with left side discomfort. The Pirates issued a report saying that McDonald is feeling better, but that the decision to have him miss his turn in the rotation was for precautionary reasons.
The Pirates will not speculate on whether McDonald will have to miss any additional starts and have not specifically diagnosed the injury beyond saying left side soreness.
In other injury news from the club:
- Kevin Hart completed another bullpen session on Monday
- Chris Snyder and Ryan Doumit are both improving and will be re-evaluated on Wednesday
