Mercer finishes USA Baseball tour

Jordy Mercer and Team USA wrapped up their season with a loss to Canada in the Pan Am gold medal game on Tuesday. The team finished 3-2 in that tournament and 10-6 overall, which included play in in the Baseball World Cup.

Mercer was the only member of the Pirates’ organization to play on the squad. He started 13 games and hit .319 with 14 runs scored. Mercer had four doubles, two homers and 12 RBIs.
