Minor League pitchers Rinku Singh and Ryan Beckman have been named to the inaugural Australian Baseball League All-Star Game, which will be played on Dec. 21.
Singh, the only Indian-born pitcher currently playing professionally in the US, has pitched 4 1/3 scoreless innings for the Adelaide Bite club. He has not allowed a hit or a walk. Singh advanced as high as low-A during the 2011 regular season.
Beckman, who is on the same ABL club, has allowed one earned run on four hits in nine innings. The righty has struck out 11 and walked just one. Beckman was taken in the 18th round of the 2009 First-Year Player Draft.
Beckman and Singh will be a part of the Team World roster, which will face the Team Australia club in the All-Star Game.
