Rain delays home opener, festivities

The Cardinals have announced that, because of rain, today’s pregame ceremonies and festivities have been delayed until 3 p.m. CT. That is 90 minutes later than originally scheduled. First pitch is now slated for 3:45 p.m.
It is currently raining pretty hard here at Busch Stadium. Looking at the hour-by-hour forecast on weather.com, there appears to be a strong chance for continued rain/storms until about 6 p.m.
Check the blog for continued updates in case start times are again pushed back.

More like Football weather. I am glad they got it in. Go Birds!
87 MPH is junkballer stuff. Not his fault but he may never come back. Cards need to DL him now and sign Oswalt. That would take the pressure off and allow him to come back when he’s ready. Race will be too close this year to give away games.
