McClellan, Craig injury updates

Both Allen Craig and Kyle McClellan were examined back in St. Louis today and, per general manager John Mozeliak, the following determinations were made:
- McClellan underwent an MRI, which showed a small strain in his ulnar collateral ligament. He will be shut down for six weeks, after which the Cardinals hope he will be able to begin a throwing program. For now, McClellan is going to stay away from surgery, hopeful that rest will allow him to fully heal.
- Allen Craig was diagnosed with a mild hamstring strain. He is expected back around the time he will be eligible to come off the 15-day disabled list. The injury is not considered serious, but the club was already hampered enough that it had to make a move to get another healthy position player on the roster.
Both players have been placed on the DL. Outfielder Adron Chambers and pitcher Brandon Dickson have been recalled from Memphis to fill the open spots.
