Tony La Russa, who will manage the National League All-Star team next month, has named his coaching staff. Joining him will be his staff from the 2011 Cardinals — Dave Duncan (now on temporary leave) , Derek Lilliquist, Mark McGwire, Dave McKay (now with the Cubs), Jose Oquendo and Joe Pettini (now with the Astros).

Brewers manager Ron Roenicke and Mets manager Terry Collins will also serve as NL coaches.

The All-Star Game will be played in Kansas City’s Kauffman Stadium on July 10.

LaRussa should not even be in the ASG. This another unprecedented Bud Selig debacle. Just like the front office sending the Astros to the AL when Millwaukee was the last team moved to the NL. Millwaukee is a much better fit with all of the juicing going on.
