While Cardinal fans are in a state of panic, here is some perspective to keep in mind: If the season ended today, the Cards would be in the playoffs.

Yes, I realize the team has not been playing like a deserving postseason participant. But I throw that out there as a reminder that four bad days does not end a season.

That said, the last few days have exposed some glaring concerns on offense and with the pitching. If those aren’t addressed properly, the Cardinals may have longer-term issues.
