Game 4 NLCS Lineups

Jenifer Langosch/

As reported earlier on, Carlos Beltran’s left knee was still too sore to allow for him to start Game 4 of the NLCS tonight. As a result, Matt Carpenter slides into the second spot in the order. He will not, however, take Beltran’s place in right field. That will be Allen Craig’s task. Carpenter will start at first base.

Much more from Beltran on the severity of his knee injury shortly on He did seem encouraged by how much better he felt today than when he suffered the strain while running out a ground ball on Wednesday.
