Inbox submissions requested

Jenifer Langosch/MLB.com

The Cardinals.com Inbox, by popular demand, will be returning as a regular feature of your offseason coverage. So to get started this week, let me request a fresh batch of questions from you.

If you have a question you’d like considered for the Inbox, send it to me at Jenifer.Langosch@MLB.com. It’s important that you include your first name, last initial and hometown in all submissions, too.

My intention is to put out an Inbox by the end of the week. However, superstorm Sandy has left MLB’s email server down, so, for the time being, I won’t be able to get any of the emails you send. Once we are back up and running, I’ll sift through the submissions and do my best to answer the most pressing questions.

And to those of you who were in Sandy’s path, please be safe and smart.

I was wondering if the Cards would trade Skip or Daniel for a quality middle infielder.

Jenifer: I noticed two somewhat bothersome weaknesses: an inability of players and sometimes pitchers in bunting, and, I was really frustrated when bunting was the right strategy(in my armchair view)and not signaled).Additionally, I am sure the Cardinals have identified a weakness of power hitting on the bench. Finally, I would second their concern for a hitting shortstop.
