Cards awarded postseason shares

Major League Baseball announced the breakdown of 2012 postseason shares on Monday. The Cardinals, who advanced to the National League Championship Series, divided a players’ pool of $7.84 million into 56 full shares, 7.8 partial shares and four cash awards. The total of a full share came to $122,558.29.
Players on postseason teams vote to determine the number of shares to be distributed, which means the total for each club is different.
In total, a little over $65 million was split among the 10 postseason participants. That players’ pool fund is calculated by taking 50 percent of the Wild Card games gate receipts, 60 percent of the gate receipts from the first three games of the Division Series, 60 percent of the gate receipts from the first four games of the League Championship Series and 60 percent of the gate receipts from the first four games of the World Series.
Of that $65 million, the World Champion Giants took $23 million of it to distribute within their organization.

Jenifer, is the exact distribution of these shares a matter of public record? If so, any idea where to find it? I’ve been unable to locate it, and it would be interesting to see how the Cardinals self-evaluate as reflected by these, particularly with the partial shares and cash awards. Thanks.
No. It is voted upon by the players in private.
