‘Tis the season to give and to receive

Two reminders for folks looking for A) the perfect holiday gift and B) the opportunity to give back. Each of these events has been detailed on the blog over the last few weeks, so click the provided links for more information if you want a refresher.

Need a gift (or want to splurge on yourself)? Consider purchasing tickets to the annual St. Louis Writers’ Dinner. The event, which will be attended by several members of the Cardinals’ 2011 club, is scheduled for Jan. 20 at 6:30 pm. For more information, including ticket prices, go here.

For those with a desire to help others this holiday season, consider getting involved in the Cardinals’ holiday gift drive. The Cardinals will be accepting gifts (unwrapped toys for young children; gift cards for older children) from 6 am – 1 pm on Wednesday. Gifts can be dropped off at Busch Stadium and will be delivered to families of those with loved ones deployed overseas. More details here.
