Feb. 27: Q of the Day

Are the Cardinals planning to wear a memorial uniform patch as a way to honor Stan Musial this year?  I haven’t anything regarding this, as of yet.

Yes.

Though the team is not wearing a memorial patch during Spring Training (the design was not finalized in time to allow for that), it will be on the uniforms for the entire 2013 regular season. I was told that the plan is to have a No. 6 in a circle, with Musial’s signature crossing through the number diagonally. If the Cardinals put out a copy of the image, I’ll be sure to pass that along. The Cardinals have not announced details for any other sort of remembrances for Musial just yet.
