Cardinals outright three from roster

Jenifer Langosch/MLB.com

In beginning the process of reconstructing their roster for 2014, the Cardinals have outrighted catcher Rob Johnson, outfielder Adron Chambers and outfielder/first baseman Brock Peterson from their 40-man roster. All three players declared for free agency. Johnson was to be arbitration eligible.

Also, in an administrative move, the club reinstated reliever Jason Motte from the 60-day disabled list.

With these moves, as well as the removal of the players who recently declared for free agency (Chris Carpenter, Carlos Beltran, Jake Westbrook, Rafael Furcal and Edward Mujica), the Cardinals currently have 37 players on their roster.

Yeah, O.K. whatever the above means. Now back to baseball. We need a shortstop, however I’m willing to wait.WE are in the position of strengh.Ya need an arm, call us.Ya need a third baseman call us.Another outfielder( J.J. ) call us.Until then let the rest panic and over pay.AND I’m not sure the Miami owner won’t part with G. Stanton, no matter what that idiot says. He’d look real nice in RF next year. Then Adams becomes an AL commodity if WE choose to go that way.
