Day 27: Mets (4-6) @ Cardinals (2-6-2)

wpid-0311140905.jpgAfter being outscored, 28-6, over the past two days, the Cardinals look to get back on track Tuesday behind ace Adam Wainwright. This will be Wainwright’s second start of the spring, and he’ll be pitching on three days of rest after having his last start postponed a day. He spent the weekend dealing with a bout of strep throat.

Still no Oscar Taveras in the lineup, marking the third straight day he has been absent. Peter Bourjos sat out a week after a minor hamstring cramp. If that’s a barometer for the Cardinals’ plans with Taveras (hamstring tightness), it could still be a few more days before the top prospect resumes playing.

The other pitchers available in relief on Tuesday are Trevor Rosenthal, Randy Choate, Tim Cooney and Jorge Rondon. This will be Rosenthal’s second appearance of the spring.

Hey, Jen: Spring Training is Spring Training but you don’t wanna get used to getting your face kicked in. It’s time for the hitters to flex em a bit and do some damage. Pitchers can “work on some things” but getting outs is their job.
Lesgo Card-Nals!!!!!

P.S. What is the preferred (by him) pronunciation of Aledmys? Julian

Julian,
Jen never seems to answer questions here………..why? I have no idea.
