Day 36: Cardinals (7-9) @ Mets (13-7)

wpid-0320140902.jpgMark Ellis, as expected, remains out of the lineup again today as he continues to nurse left knee inflammation. The hope is still that Ellis will be cleared to return to the field by the weekend.

No one in camp has more spring at-bats than Kolten Wong (36) and Matt Adams (35), but both get a breather from starting today. With Adams out, Allen Craig can get some work at first base. It won’t be Craig’s primary position to start the season, but Craig is going to be needed there at some point.

Available to pitch behind Lance Lynn today will be Trevor Rosenthal, Kevin Siegrist and Scott McGregor.

And a reminder that you have until 10 am CT to join in the By Gosh Bracket Challenge. Click here to sign up. The password is Cardinals.
