A local sports guy, Derrick Goold tweeted that the severity of Adams injury is high, and may require surgery. Article at ( a local area newspaper) speculates about some potential trades, if Adams is side-lined with a surgery. But keep in mind there’s no definitive word on Adam’s condition, yet.

It’s official. Mozeliak was just interviews, stating Adam’s has a quad-tear, and will be out for 3-4 months.

Great……..Now the shopping begins. And whatever we want the price will go up because we are the ones in need.Bet they wished they grab Graig off the waiver wire now. Mo won’t panic, nor should he, someone will shake loose. I wonder who it’ll be?
For now Reynolds and Scruggs will do fine

Yeah, I think Reynolds is doing good. His at-bats have been productive for the most part, and maybe he’s a bit more “athletic” than Adams, anyway? Why won’t they just go with Reynolds permanently, I wonder. I’m sure that Mo will surprise everyone with whatever he does….as usual. Hahaha.

Going with Reyenolds for now and seeing if he can handle it is what I mean by Mo not panicing. Options will pop up later and Mo can assess then.By the end of this month we’ll start to see teams run up the flag and we’ll be in a better position to deal if we need to. Next up the Dodgers, good early season test. Lackey leads us off.

Glad Lackey’s on the mound. He’s pretty consistent and has been a good deal for the $500K we paid. Not sure any of the Cards have hit against Bolinger. Probably not. Guess they’ll have to figure him out as they go. I’m a little apprehensive about tonite’s game. We’ve beat ’em the last few times, so it might just be time for them to give US a spankin’. Karma. Know what I mean?

3-0 win and Lackey was great!! Maybe Lackey is the guy stepping up to ace status to replace Waino this year.I was hopping Lynn, being younger would do it, but you can’t argue Lackey’s recent outing………….wow!

Right on! Lackey shined tonite. One announcer even mentioned a potential All-Star appearance for him this year. Pre-game, MM was asked about Reynolds…and said he’s clearly in a position to prove that he deserves to officially take over 1st base. Wong’s been great since stepping into the lead-off batter role, too. Not sure what was going on with Holliday, tho’. They said the flu? As for Lynn….he just sorta’ gets in a funk every so often. MM has regularly contended that both Lynn and Martinez can let their emotions get the best of them, which throws off their focus. Last season I’ll admit I was for trading Lynn & replacing him with Shelby as a starter. Rosenthal eventually wants to become a starter. But where do you get another closer like him?

First off Rosenthal stays as closer.Last night he threw 12 pitches,10 for strikes and was very dominent………..he don’t move!! Reynolds at first for now….O.K. I really like Wong leading off,and Carp right behind him.Right now my rotation would be 1.Wacha 2. Lackey, 3. Lynn and 4. Martinez 5. ???? not sold on Garcia yet. As for a closer I wondered if they would have put Kelley there, or at least as a set up guy,but that’s moot now.

or….you can wonder if they wouldda’ put Shelby in there. But both Kelley AND Miller are moot as you said. And I agree. Rosie stays our closer. Just that I keep hearing that he asks MM off & on about starting, and to always keep HIM in mind. Pretty much like Martinez did since day-one of Spring Training. What’s most exciting about Martinez? Is that he’s soooo freakin’ young, and can only get better. How does a lanky lil’ kid like that, throw 100mph? Ya’ got me! : )
And as I’ve contended all along? I just don’t feel like Jaime’s got his head together for this “come-back”. Shannon & Hrabosky tho’, claim he’s still electric when he’s pitching well. However, I just don’t quite see that….but am trying to. : P
