Noting a change in lineup? Holiday must still be ill. “**Bourjos CF** Carpenter 3B **Peralta SS** **Grichuk LF** Molina C Reynolds 1B Heyward RF Kozma 2B Martinez RHP” Leadoff is not a good spot for Bourjos with his OBP?

And is it just a rest for Wong I hope?

I suspect MM merely wants to rest Wong. Altho’, as the lead-off batter? He’s been really good. Holliday apparently still has a touch of the flu. Who knows if there’ll be any more last-minute changes. There’s still plenty of time left, before the first pitch.

2 out of 3 from the Dodgers, just fine. Now 2 of 3 or better from the Crew. Martinez was a concern for me.I thought he might try and do too much, but he focused just fine.
Peralta has the best WAR for a ss in baseball 1.2 higher than his nearest competitor.

Oh, and Martinez was solidly bent on winning yesterday’s game for his buddy OT (Oscar Taveras). They came up in the ranks together. Yesterday was the one year anniversary of Oscar’s first appearance as a Major League player for the Cards. He died at the end of last season, in a car accident. He’d just bought a brand new, bright red sports car and he’d been celebrating that fateful nite. : (

Yup, thank goodness we won the Dodgers series. We probably should beat the Brew Crew tonite, fer’ sure…..considering they played 17 innings yesterday. That’s not to mention they had to hop a plane to STL afterwards. And our STL FSMW sports-casters were rightly praising Peralta last nite. They feel he doesn’t get enuf’ credit for being so darned consistent. Mike Shannon calls him “Mr Steady but Sure.” ; )
