If a loss can make you O.K. this is the one. Garcia has thrown back-to-back excellent outings. We really needed it especially from the left side.It makes us less desperate if Mo wants to make a deal, even if it’s for a 1st baseman.
Lets get Greinke tonight for 3 of 4 series win.

Exactly, nobody can win every game. Really anxious to see what Mo’s gonna’ do. I always wonder what kinda’ conversations go on between Mo & MM. Love to be a fly on the wall.

Mark Moulder was commenting last night that the ‘Cardinal Way” was instructionally no different than any other good org.,that the Cards are not rah-rah,talkative types.
They are no nonsense, no panic get it done players. Got me thinking that the Cardinal Way is very much selecting the Cardinal Way type of player as much as it is following a certain behavior/performance manual. Anyway on to Colorado and Lackey gets the ball. Did you see Heyward’s throw in the 6th…..WOW!!? Tell me defense doesn’t win games.
A.J.Pollock is still hot. Getting him now is not going to happen after they traded Trumbo. No more 4 man OF with him gone.Pollock is their man.

Yep, the Cardinal Way is likely similar to the other teams. But I do think they’re careful to choose players who’re inherently humble. (Goes to “coach-ability”.) Plus, MM continually stresses that no one player is ever more important than the team as a whole.
Greinke pitched very well. The Cards just had to wait for him to be pulled, before they could score off the LAD bullpen. Funny how Lynn was throwin’ all fast-balls the first few innings, then came back with stuff mostly under 90mph. My theory is that Lynn’s favorite fast-balls weren’t working like they had before…so he simply gave in & threw some slower change-ups, sliders, etc….at MM & Lilliquist’s urging. Too many fastballs from either Lynn OR Martinez can undermine their effectiveness. You just gotta’ mix ’em up & keep ’em guessing, as they say! I suspect that Lynn’s “forearm-tightness” last nite, was simply a ruse….and had nothing to do with it. Hahaha.
Wow, correcta-mundo! Heyward’s throw was right on the money! Of course, some of the credit goes to Cruz for that play, too.
And yessir, Pollock’s just too danged good for the D-Backs to let go! Duh. ; )
I have faith in Lackey for tonite’s game. Besides, the Rockies are last in the NL West.
However….ya’ never know. Unfortunately, the improbable is always a possibility.
