Odd lineup. The one person who most needs a rest, Yadi, is in and several others sitting (against CWS best pitcher). Could be a long night. While I agree with Dave M. that Bourjos should be used more, his OBP certainly doesn’t make him a lead-off candidate and his base-running remains tarnished by mistakes despite his speed. Will see what happens I guess.

Good point about Bourjos, Bob. He needs to work on his base-running judgement. But in his defense? MM has reportedly urged the players lately, to be a little extra aggressive in their base-running.
Despite the WSox being last in the AL Central? Chis Sale (their “ace”) will likely be darned tough to hit.
Agree too, that maybe Yadi should rest instead of play tonite. Cruz has been a solid back-up. The only thing I can think? Is that Yadi feels the need to be in, if Lynn gets off-track. Lynn’s terrific the majority of the time. However, he IS prone to the occasional melt-down…and Yadi may feel he can help Lynn more than Cruz? Just a theory….

Well, it’s likely that MM’s merely being cautious with Carp, considering that “exhaustion” episode. Plus, it’s awful difficult to figure out which games to rest different players. Peralta plays a lot…so he has to take a break once in a while. However, you’re correct. To have Peralta & Carp absent, with Holliday & Adams already side-lined? Kinda’ scary.
Now that I think about it, maybe that’s the reason Yadi’s not taking the day off?

I feel it is time to release Kozma. Give Garcia the same chances that they have given Kozma. In my humble opinion.

My bad. Peralta’s playing. Duh.
