Jen,
I don’t do twitter so I was hoping you read this. Have you heard about any moves, especially at 1B, that the Cards are exploring? Good to read your updates again.

Recently, I decided to give it a try. Only took a second. So now I just sign into twitter while on my ‘puter….and don’t do any of that stuff on my phone. That way I can see Jen’s twitter updates while I’m sitting here at my desktop PC, researching MLB articles, etc online.
Glad Piscotty gets to play at 1st today. I only hope Reynolds’ hand is OK after getting it hit yesterday while at bat.
Yadi’s finally taking a day off, thank goodness.
Mozieliak’s comment regarding the trade deadline? This morning he said, “We’re busy actively looking at what’s out there….and are hoping we can grab somebody who’ll improve the team.”
But that was about the extent of it, and as far as MO went.

Well we lost today, but won the series.Keep doing that and we’ll be just fine. Whenever Mo plays down something, something is up.Its just wait and see now. He’s dealing from strenght and that’s always good.
64 games left.If we go 34 – 30 we’ll end up with 97 wins! I never thought that was optainable,but WOW. I figured 90 – 92 wins……..glad I’m off thus far.

Exactly. You’re correct on all counts.
Mo was vague…so you’re probably right that something’s up. In MM’s post-game interview, they were asking him about trades. MM said the Cards have good players ready to be called up, like Cooney. And we already just brought up Piscotty, who’s done well his first few times out. That’s not to mention that Walden & Jaime are almost ready to come back.
It was like MM was trying to stress that we have plenty of internal reserve options. But if they add a player? They’ll simply fit him in.
And yep. If we can keep winning series….sweeps won’t likely be a necessity to keep the Cards ahead in the race.
