Line up,overall,seems to lack power.Which means they’ll hit a bunch tonight.Hope so!

Ours

Oh, OK. Gotcha’….

Which line-up? You mean the Cards, ’cause we’re not playing Holliday & Grichuk?

Incidentally, there’s a storm moving in. Typically, it hits me, then east to downtown at the stadium. They’re warning about high winds, and my AM radio signal is crackling at the moment.

Never mind. The weather guy just said this one storm will pass shortly, and the other, bigger storm behind it…will move north enuf’ so as not to affect the game downtown. Whew…

Trade chatter is about Lind or Davis from the O’s being looked at by the Cards.

Hmmm. Hadn’t heard that yet. Been busier than usual today, tho’. Thanks.

Interesting. Adam Lind is 32 y/o, 6′ 2″, 195lb, a .274 life-time…a DH, 1B & LF guy. On the other hand…Chris Davis is 29, 6′ 3″ , 230lbs with a .252, who plays 1st, 3rd & RF. Sorta similar…eh? Gotta’ trust MO I suppose…

Holy Toledo!!!!!!!!! He hit a “Wong” ball outta’ the park!

Uuuugggghhhh

Another rumor or 2 out there, about MO possibly interested in Lind trade. But there are plenty of people tho’, who want the Cards to stand pat.
Last nite for example, on the FSMW post-game show…Al Hrabosky took the opportunity to say he thinks it’s great we got Cischek to take some pressure off the bullpen. And if that’s the ONLY trade the Cards make by the deadline? He said, that would be JUST FINE!

Al has a point, but I’m thinking come playoff time. We’ll need another bat, especially if we make the WS. Playing in a AL park a guy like Lind would give us better defense while Holiday could DH and a better OF could be use.STronger lineup and better “D”.

Good point, especially if Holliday gets temporarily side-lined again. But I suspect the fear is not only getting a “new guy” to fit in….but which of our current players might leave us. For example, it’d be a real bummer if say, Cooney was traded away.
Did you hear about the Tulowizki trade, by the way? The poor guy was told by one of the Rockies coaches just as he took him out of a 9th inning game. A teary-eyed coach, it was said.
Purportedly, the Rockies GM previously assured Tulo that they would only trade him with his input as a consideration. Oops?
