Getting those bats back in the lineup should help, at least if Yadi is really ready to go (he is overworked as it is). But the Royals are really going for it this year with the acquisitions of Cueto and Zobrist. Hope the Cardinals don’t let good deals pass them by before Friday’s deadline.

Last nite, In the post-game interview, Yadi said he was hit on his face-mask real hard, which according to him…”made me sick to my stomach”. All preliminary tests indicated there’s no concussion…so it’s hard to say what’s going on.
Yep you’re correct, sir. Getting Cueto says KC is trying their best to stay in contention. Who knows what the final hours (pre-deadline) will bring.

One thing that might come up (or not) regarding trades? Is that nobody’s really looking for catchers. I wonder if this could be a good time to shop that position? Merely a thought….

Getting to an NL championship and a match-up with KC also got a little harder today with the Nats news: http://m.mlb.com/news/article/139231384

I agree overall with MO’s cautious approach and holding on to most young talent, but the offense definitely needs a boost at 1B and hopefully catcher as backup. If Garcia gets back on track tonight, starters should look good and maybe Cooney or Gonzalez can bolster the bullpen later in the season.

So far, with the Royals in mind. I suppose all we can do is focus. I still maintain the Cards can hit Cueto good ‘nuf.
Mozeliak probably continues working on one big last-minute trade. Like Dave said, if anything….it’ll likely be Lind.
Gotta’ wait to see what all that brings…

OR….maybe Cooney or Gonzales will be traded. Know what I mean? You gotta’ give to get….

OK, so yeah….maybe we couldda’ used a little help in the offense dept tonite?
