I only hope our farm-teams can keep us stocked in good players, with the luck we’ve been having. But the good news?. Several of our DL players may be able to return in Sept sometime. Can we keep it going ’til then? Hope so.

Tonights line up isn’t the scariest line up we’ve ever put out there and Lynn is throwing tonight .Lance better have a gem,but lately I haven’t seen it. Moss hitting 4th? MM better know something I don’t. Also, Renyolds hitting 8th, he isn’t tearing the cover off the ball, but seems to be in the mix when we do score…..a good thing!
Haley you’re right as more and more come off the DL it’ll be like late season trades without giving anybody up. Time for the Pirates and Cubs to come back to earth too.
We just have to get healty and go from there.

I agree. Might be a better idea to put Reynolds at clean-up. Altho’, like most of us….MM’s probably thinking Moss is over-due. He came to us with 15 HR’s already this season. At least that says sumpin’….
Lynn is the main thing I’m worried about. But to be fair? He honestly has pitched some great games. Let’s hope he brings his A-game with him tonite.

Update pre-game. Heyward not starting, but MM said “If a big situation comes up? Heyward may come off the bench.”
St. Louis rain storm mostly over. The storm behind the storm not supposed to hit ’til around midnite. Once game starts, everything should be OK.

Moss hitting 4th is odd. At least Lynn has put that awful game behind him with a great start so far.

Also was Crawford’s drive a hit? Tough chance for Moss but sad to see it as the first hit.

And he leaves Lynn in too long then brings in Choate who promptly hits a batter with the bases loaded. MM is a slow learner sometimes.

Not sure how or where Moss hit his homeruns or had his RBI’s but he has been an abject failure for the Cards. He seems lazy and satisfied with being able to hit a ball all the way to the warning track in the national league. I am so tired of watching him and Reynolds stink up the place.

Reynolds has contributed this year, Moss hasn’t. Lynn was O.K.,but like in golf, all putts short of the hole never go in.Baseball’s trueism is if ya don’t score you never win. That’s last night’s issue, no offense!

Yes it’s too bad they didn’t score runs for Lynn when he bounced back well but with the injury parade it’s not surprising either. Hope they can win the series tonight as they face a long Western road trip which is always very difficult.

Moss hit 30 HR’s in 2013, 25 in 2014….and 15 for Cleveland the first part of this year. Reynolds hit 22 HR’s last season. Mozeliak was just trying to find a coupla’ ‘decent’ power bats until Adams & Holliday can return. The cost was reasonable for was hoped to be a short-term fix.

This morning’s update. Grichuk will likely be out for 15 days, and maybe up to 20. He wants back in asap, to have a shot at “Rookie of the Year”. Heyward might be in tonite, but if not? He should definitely be good by Friday.
Jaime’s pitching this last game of the series, and he’s been stellar lately. Let’s hope he can lead us a win.
This would surely be the time for Moss to show what he’s capable of.

Tell me again why we would give up a good pitching prospect for a loser like Moss when we had Scruggs in Memphis who is a better offensive player than Moss. Mo’s half time trades have done nothing in the past two years and the Cards would have been a lot better just standing pat with what they had. Also stay away from Cleveland, all they have is junk to give. Last year Masterson, this year Moss.
