Whoa baby….Pollock went 11 for 15, in the D-Backs most recent series with the Reds. AJ is totally on fire! Maybe Lynn might oughtta’ walk him tonite?

Just think,A.J. was dressed as Batman one year for Halloween. It should have been Superman!

Yeah, I can see him as Superman. He has that “all-American” boy-next-door type of look. : )

The key to A.J.’s success has been his ability to keep his hands back.Watch for that tonight. Inside seems to be the place to go if you get him out. We’ll see? Cards win A.J. goes 4-4. 10pm start on ESPN-2.

I’m not sure I understand. What cha’ mean by “hands back”?
But if inside is how to get AJ out? No doubt the pre-game videos they’ll have for Lynn to watch…will show the inside pitches he’s wiffed, fouled, etc. Right?

It mesns he doesn’t committ too soon and end up out un front of the pitch. Its one of those things ya kinda have to show someone, but to a hitter its vital. Bet Garcia is not in the line up tonight.

Jaime’s starting tonite, yes….but probably not Greg, as you said. MM appears to have a hard ‘n fast rule about earning yer’ playing-time, or not. That’s one of the things MM values about Kozma, feels he can count on. His athleticism playing defense in the infield.
As for the ability to “keep his hands back”, I get it. Not being over-zealous about chasing pitches in a way, right? Piscotty’s good at that, too. Altho’ Grichuk can & does have the occasional difficulty with committing too soon. His count gets to 0-2 maybe more often than we’d like to see.
I was afraid good ole’ Pollock had started a rally in the 9th, which I suppose he did. Just that his teammates couldn’t come thru behind him. Whew…
Btw…the FSMW booth guys last nite, even gave a few kudos to Reynolds. Said he’s turned out to be better at 1B than anticipated.
What’s going to be most interesting…is how MM handles Holliday, Grichuk & Adam’s return. Heyward in RF, Grichuk in CF, Holliday in LF….with Piscotty on 1B? But then what? Rotate Adams in at 1B while switching Piscotty to LF to rest Holliday? That’s gonna’ be a really tough call for MM to make….

Pollock should have never bunted when he did. He’s hot, swing the bat.Instead Goldschmidt ground into a DP.
Reynolds did make a nice pick on that 3rd to 1st DP. He’s been a decent pick up this year.Although he’s been asked to do more than can be expected, he plays hard.

Could NOT agree MORE! When I saw that? I asked, “What in the heck are they doing????”
Boy, KMO had some great stuff on tonite’s pre-game show. More coming. Topic is how things will play out, once Holliday, Jay & Adams are back.
One comment made by a Cards’ ex-pitcher? “I know Waino wants to be back for at least the playoffs. But I think even if they’d let him pitch? They’d maybe have him close a game one inning tops, to be safe.”
