Just what the stretched offense needed:

Kolten Wong acknowledges he’s dealing with calf strain, not just tightness. He did run today w/o issue. Hopes to be back this weekend.

Hope Grichuk and Adams are not rushed back when clearly not physically ready to fully contribute.

Randal Grichuk said today is an “off day” from throwing per his rehab schedule. That played into #stlcards decision not to start him today.

And Why Bourjus? Clearly Pham would be a better choice.

Well, I can’t recall. But if Bourjos got a hit recently, MM (Mr Fair) might feel it’s his turn.
MM is platooning CF, as you know…using Jay, Pham, Bourjos and then Grichuk just yesterday.
An article I read this afternoon by the way…said they suspect that MM may keep Wong out of the line-up until Monday. So not to count on Wong being back Sat or Sun, as Kolten is hoping.
Did you happen to see Votto go ballistic in yesterday’s game? Whoa baby, he’s got himself quite the temper!
Don’t blame Garcia for walking him a few minutes ago. I wouldn’t pitch to him at ALL tonite.

As his first at bat showed, Bourjos is barely a major leaguer. But the have fanned 4 time already. They are making another marginal pitcher look like a star.

Who’s looking like a star? Lamb’s walking a lot of our batters.

…of course, we didn’t take advantage of it. Hehe.

Yes you are right. Hope he sticks around long enough to surrender runs. That was a disappointing out by Reynolds (who seems determined to break his own foot for some reason.

That would some ‘feat’🙂

I get it! Hahaha.

Jaime’s not quite 100% tonite. But he knows what he’s doing. The good thing about veteran players….they know how to make adjustments and git ‘er done.

Hmm…Lamb’s walked 6, but no runs. Gotta’ do better, guys….

Absolute story of the game. Plenty of chances but no ones cashing in.

Yeah, now that I think about it? Maybe that’s why the Cards don’t get any respect. We can’t make anything out of all those walks. We’ve been there, done that.
Hot dog! Choate can add another 5 runs, and make it 10-zip! Woo-hoo!!!

These are games they should certainly win. They will have to mount another comeback off of left handed relievers before it gets to Chapman.

Geez, as I said before? We have NO business pitching to Votto!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And another brilliant appearance by Choate, Wild pitch and sac fly…. Matheny’s loyalties cost us again.

Strikeouts and double plays galore.. Bourjos is like having two pitchers hitting in the lineup. Lets hope the Brewers can hold their small lead in Pittsburgh.

I think painful pretty much sums this up, huh?

Hard to believe they have been so good all year only to crumble completely now. Everyone seems to have figured out our hitting and pitching.

Which team is in first place? in last place?

So he cannot even run but Adams is being used? Remember how that worked out last time Holiday returned? Will it turn out like Alan Craig, pushed too soon in 2013 World series and never again the same?

Amazingly the Pirates lost again to the Brewers even after K-Rod blew the save in the 11th. Keeps the gap at 4.5 (4 in loss column).
