Well good to try Garcia and Jay to get offense ahead a bit. But might be time to drop Peralta further down as he has been standing people and hitting into double plays with greater frequency. They again gave up the lead early; but Lackey does have the ability to press through and recover, if they can only score him some runs this time.

Without base running errors they could’ve taken the lead in the 4th. Typical of their hard luck. At least they are competing and Garcia contributed with a blast.

Naw, Peralta’s just in a slump. He’s got lotsa’ HR’s left to hit.
Garcia’s doing so well. His OBP is probably very good. I’d have to check the stats to be sure.
And yep, Lackey’s so reliable. Knows how to get the job done.
I do agree that MM’s urging to be aggressive on offense, is something that might ought to be qualified a bit more? That was plain ole’ silly for Jay to try for 3rd.

The rain-delay won’t be long. It’s the same front we had, that’s moved NE up toward Ohio. Besides…the doppler radar for Cincy, doesn’t show anything behind the current little storm patch.

Oops, apparently…I was wrong. Double-header tomorrow. Will start tied 2-2, top of the 8th, no outs & we’ve got Peralta on 1B. G’nite…
