So this time, we’re only resting Peralta (again), Grichuk & Reynolds. Moss batted 4 for 4 yesterday I believe, so that garners him some more playing time.
Of course, the substitutions will likely be ongoing.

I think MLB will now let you stream the rest of the regular season games free, on your computer?

ESPN is really pushing Buddy Holiday for manager of the year. Its like MM had NO issues to deal with this year. Who cares as long as the WS banner ends up in St Louis.

I’m not familiar with Buddy Holiday. What team?

Yeah, I know. Can’t recall exactly, but some ESPN or MLBTV show was again talking about manager of the year. And one guy said the Cards, even with injuries, were not that difficult to manage, considering MM got lucky with some great rookie players who were able to step in & up. Sumpin’ like that, anyway.

Hope Lackey goes 5-6 strong in preparation for the playoffs. AND no more injuries!!!

Fer sure! But Lackey may even wanna’ stay in longer if the Cards are winning. Basically, to insure Rosie gets another shot at a save & a new record.

KMOX just announced that Piscotty’s back in the line-up today. Needless to say, the line-up’s gonna’ get switched around a bunch.
But MM may actually try to win this game, so Rosenthal can break the franchise’s save-record. I believe he’s tied right now with Izzy?

How about 1) Sign Jurickson Profar for SS 2) Peralta to 3b ) Carpenter to 1b 4) trade Matt Adams, ( Votto to LF) Bourjos (and Jay if necessary ) and Tyler Lyons to Cincinnati for Aroldis Chapman and either convert Trevor Rosenthal to a starter if Lackey walks or he/Segriest/Chapman form a KC like back end hammer (we get 9 innings but you only get six p=95%). I am glad Kozma cleared waivers. I cannot forget that Cards won 97 and went to the WS with him as a light hitting but defensively outstanding SS.
