Kinda’ curious. Yesterday, it suddenly dawned on me that the Marlins’ OF Ichiro Suzuki has Ichiro (his first name) printed on the back of his jersey instead of Suzuki (his last name). Wonder what’s up with that….

Asian name orders are often the reverse of ours – or it could be just his iconic name is what her prefers, Whatever way he has earned it. (Lousy game with the Nationals though – neither Wainwright nor Seigrist seems right yet).

Today’s game wasn’t so good either. Sure we tied the Mets, but Syndergaard killed us early on. Luckily, their supposed closer, Familia…wasn’t sharp at all (bases loaded & 1 out). Consequently, we ended up tying the game.
Wacha had a rough time. Lyons too. Adams, tho’…looked decent. Holliday failed to catch a hit that landed on the track. Something Pham, Grichuk, etc…most likely would’ve caught.
This afternoon, an ESPN sports guy quoted Cardinal veteran Jim Edmonds as once saying, “I’m done with Spring Training. My bat’s hot right now, and I don’t wanna’ waste my good swings when it won’t count.” Hahaha.

Yes I saw much of that game. Worrisome that aside from Leake none of the potential starters, Wainwright included have looked that good. And with Hayward gone and Peralta out for weeks the offense will have to be better than last year and probably won’t be. Kruk still considered them favorites in the Central but I am not so sure.

Agree. Am beginning to get a little worried about this season, myself.
I like Socolovich better than Lyons at this point. Also, 26 y/o, RHP Juan Gonzalez (6′ 2″, 260 lbs) pitched today. Heck, I never saw him before. He was decent.
If Tuivailala can gain some control on those heaters of his? I think he’d have to be high up on the bullpen list for the regular season.
Gyorko appears to be getting better & better. Heck of an acquisition, in hind-sight. I think I like him even better than Tejada. Better at bats.
Jordan Walden was scratched today…but he’s saying it’s no biggie.
Greg Garcia hasn’t shown he’s anything too special. He hits a little better than say, Kozma..but Kozma’s fielding was better.
Aw, I dunno’. We’ll just have to see how the season starts….
