A parade of bad news now – Oquendo’s knee, Garcia’s finger, Walden’s shoulder…. small pieces complicating the bigger picture. Looks like staying in the race will be a challenge from the start.

Garcia’s finger may just hold him back one start. Walden is the type of reliever that can be replaced internally. Its the offense. Molina doesn’t look right to me. Holiday hasn’t shown me his power has returned and playing 1B doesn’t thrill me. What I have notice thus far is one guy has a good game, like Pham did the other day, and the rest of the line up is well below average. Of course that’s the days headline so-in-so plays great, but we lose. Last year’s problems are the same. Lack of power/offense, striking out too much and running ourselves out of the inning on the base path. These are all hold over issues from last year and we’re a year older. This is why I think we’re a 3rd place team. AND what if our pitching is not as terrific as it was last year…………….???? Also, as good as the Cubs appear to be they’ll find a way to not win the WS, they are after all, the Cubs.

Yep, it’s beginning to look like we could struggle to even take 3rd place in the division.
I’m no longer expecting any more than that. ~sigh~

Today may have been the best game they played all spring. Of course its after the worst they’ve played all spring.
Holiday back in LF and had two hits one a homer( first of the spring) hmm?! Other than Fryer catching it looks like today’s lineup may be very close to opening day. The Adams/Moss issue at 1B may still be who’s playing better at the time. Tejada thus far has fit in nicely, but the N.Y.press says watch out for him. Sorry I brought you down to my 3rd place level Haley, but I just have to call it as I see it……….not as how I want to see it.

Not a problem, Dave. : )
The one thing about being pessimistic, is that you’re seldom disappointed. Hahaha.
We can only hope the team “clicks” once the regular season begins. If they do come around? It’ll be an extra nice surprise, don’t cha’ know!
