MM’s interview says he’s comfortable with platooning at SS and 1B. Listen to it and all you hear is the company line. The two positions that handle the ball the most besides the P/C and he’s cool with the “fluidity” of the situation.Spring training is about establishing something going into the season, not, well we’ll see how it goes and go from there. I’m not feeling it thus far……….3rd place and out of the playoffs!
Freeman is still available in Atlanta – 1st baseman. BUT it will cost players. Adams and a good prospect at least. What do ya think gang?

Hard to say what’ll happen with SS. We signed Tejada to be a SS & Gyorko as an infield utility guy. Maybe they should be switched? Clearly a difficult decision how to play them.
I think that Holliday on 1B is merely an available option to keep his bat in the line up, if or when a situation might call for it.
Sadly, it looks like Walden’s not gonna’ make the final roster. Man, he was good today. Very unfortunate.
Read an article in the Chicago Tribune. Their sports writers all submitted their predictions for the upcoming season.
Funny…one had us winning our division & the Cubbies grabbing a Wild Card spot. However, that writer did say he thought Chicago would come thru & win the WS.
By the by? Lackey’s posted an ERA of 6.92 during ST, as opposed to Leake’s 2.81. Oops? Hee-hee.
