I’m still not seeing Waino as our ace.
We are second only to the Cubs in run differential; +48 runs in the ML. Maybe we don’t need a big bat,but I’d feel a whole lot better with one. That +48 run diff. has got us a 12-9 record thus far. The Cubs +60 has got them a 15-5 record………………???
Pitching has been O.K., defense Fair; so maybe its the managerial decissions. like having Adams try to steal.

Hey, Dave…did you see that Carlos Martinez is in TMZ’s celebrity news?

You’re right about Waino, Dave. But it IS what it is….at least for now.
And let’s hope MM’s over his over-focus on stealing bases. Yes…Adams attempt to steal a few days back, was a compete joke. We certainly couldn’t have been the ONLY ones to see that?
As for a “big bat”. We apparently have a few now. Aledmys is batting like crazy. Gyorko’s been coming thru a lot, too. Even Hazelbaker’s been relatively consistent.
OK, Grichuk gets a rest tonite…so the only thing MM COULD do…is to switch Piscotty to CF.
MM needs a youngster out there in the middle of 2 chunkier guys….’cause Holliday & Moss unfortunately, aren’t truly plus defenders when it comes to running after those long hits to the track. I can’t see either of them jumping waaaay up to steal away a HR like Grichuk did only the other day.
On an MLB show today, the host was asked about Aledmys’ unbelievable BA so far. The guy said, “Ah, forget about that guy. We don’t even know who he is.”
WHAT ever….
