I like this lineup. But Grichuk & Wong have to get going!

I’d include Wainwright in that ‘get going’ category. Let’s see how good the Cubs are now that their offense has slowed some.Time to catch up.

Agreed.

I’m now very worried about Wainwright………6+ era and looks very uncomfortable.

Am I the only one….or has anyone else noticed that Grichuk & Moss will repeatedly swing a 3rd time, when there’s an 0-2 count? I mean….what pitcher’s gonna’ throw one over the plate when they’re ahead like that????
And Waino IS becoming a little worrisome.
Speaking of pitchers? Alex Reyes’ last day of suspension has been pushed forward a coupla’ days….and now Mo says he won’t be available until after May 21st instead of the 18th.
Wong seems a little over-emotional. And I think the pressure to perform after signing that $25M 5-yr contract, is getting to him. He’s probably overly desperate to prove he’s worth what he’s being paid….and it’s messin’ with him.

Good points Haley. Any chance the Cards becoming an AL team? After all, they play like one.

Geez…did you see Jen’s most recent tweet up top, right? Seth Maness optioned back down to AAA Memphis. Kind of a shock to be honest. Trying to think why they’d do that, and I’m stumped. ~sigh~
And yer’ right, Dave. The Birds would probably do well in the AL. hehehe.

Local sports-writer says Maness’ fastballs have dipped down to 87 from 91….plus, he’s been sorta’ ineffective & inconsistent lately. So that’s probably why he’s gone?
