Wow, CMart looked spectacular last nite. Even one of the MLBTV guys (Greg Amsinger) said, “Well, I guess we know now, who’ll start the Cards’ Wild Card game.” Hehehe.
Carlos is sure something to watch, huh? He really makes it look so effortless.
I noticed Alex Reyes just staring at him as they panned the Red Bird players in the dugout.
Reyes will no doubt eventually become part of the starting rotation. Maybe in 2017? But for now, it appears he’s back-up for the current starters….just in case somebody screws up early.
We’re half a game away from the #1 NL WC spot at the moment. Let’s hope we can keep playing decent games and avoid those pesky errors.
I assume you’ve read the chatter about Wacha. Apparently he’s prone to “scapula irritation”. So he’ll probably return as part of the bullpen. A full season as a starter may simply be too much work for him, and out of the question now. Or so it seems…

A win tonight would mean a home series win. A rarity for the Cards these days. Martinez was on last night. Mets announcers were very impressed. Compared him to Pedro a few times. They were wondering which Wainright we were going to see tonight…………….as am I???
Wacha will end up with surgery, either this off season or during next season you wait and see.
If we make the WC game I wonder who Matheny ( with Mo’s permision ) will start?

Well, in the interviews I’ve watched? So far, I’ve gotten the impression that this scapula thing is somewhat of an anomaly, and can’t BE repaired by surgery. I think I heard it’s merely some “condition” Michael’s prone to (not exactly an injury) that can flare up, aggravated by constant arm use. Therefore, an occasional inning or two, here & there…is likely the safest way to go, going forward. ‘Course, you could end up being correct. Maybe the docs will discover something new about his shoulder during the off-season, and try to fix that. Who knows…
And boy, and ain’t THAT da’ truth! Hahaha. Which Waino ARE we gonna’ get tonite?
I heard one guy say Waino has his good & bad moments, but ultimately….he usually comes thru when it comes down to the real tough situations. Let’s hope that’s the case.
Oh btw, that 8th inning Mets pitcher, Goeddel? He looked pretty good. Was giving the Cards a run for their money. Erik Goeddel’s dad is some kinda’ biological scientist, and is credited with discovering HGH (human growth hormone) AND synthetic insulin. How ’bout it.
You glad to hear Hope Solo’s been suspended for 6 months? Thought you might be. Tee-hee.

No we got the Mr. Hyde version of Wainwright tonight. Dr. Jeckyll version is here less often. No longer an ace. Martinez would have to start the Wild Card game and even then we will have problems staying around long with this rotation.

Correctomundo, senor! ; )
