Awesome win last night!!! If we get in the playoffs it may have been because of Carp’s HR, followed later by Grichuk’s two run blast. So far this year its their signature game.

Yep…they pulled it out at the very last second. Cardiac Cards, they are! Hehehe. Aren’t the Birds 2 HR’s away from the most MLB pinch-hit home runs of all time???
Leake might be iffy tonite….or…he might kick butt. Hard to say. Was surprised to see Yadi starting this evening…as Leake doesn’t really want advice from his catchers. My guess is if the Cards score big early, MM may put Kelly in for Molina.
As Jen mentions, Diaz is starting in AA tonite, Springfield. They’re trying to get him ready for a start this coming weekend. We’ll surely need him when the Cubs hit town.
Oh, and wasn’t it great to see that poor kid, Mike Mayers turn in a scoreless inning? Bet HE feels better after his first appearance.

Well there was no ninth inning magic tonight unfortunately and the Mets have caught up and Giants pulled ahead again. Apparently the Mets who have played well lately, have the easiest schedule of all the wild card contenders going forward so it will be a tough go, especially with the Cards playing mostly at home where they are sub par. Hope they can turn that around against the Brewers but with the Mets winning almost every day it won’t be easy to stay in the hunt.

Ditto.

I don’t think Leake is ever gonna’ be worth the price paid….unfortunately.
