I’m betting they’ll put Diaz in, if there’s any chance he can help win tonite’s game. I worry about Peralta at 3B, like Holliday in LF. Neither are very agile fielders.
At this point, it’s almost down to all or nothing.
Maybe the Nats can beat the Mets tonite. It’s the bottom of the 2nd, and the Nationals are ahead of the Mets 3-1. Fingers crossed.
MM just said Wacha may be available in the bullpen, Wednesday.

Just in. MM just said Diaz may be available off the bench tonite, to pinch-hit.

With with today’s news, it may that Diaz is needed in the field sooner that we think? “Cardinals infielder Matt Carpenter exited the game after his back tightened up during a seventh-inning at-bat. Matheny received “good reports” from the medical staff after the game, an indication that the injury is not considered serious.”

Will see, Unless Mets stumble though, it will be a tough month for those of us used to a playoff run.

As I thought, Carpenter has to sit tonight. Will see how Diaz does coming back after such a long break.

#STLCards lineup vs. Chicago (9/13):
G. Garcia 2B
Grichuk CF
Piscotty RF
Adams 1B
Molina C
Peralta 3B
Moss LF
Diaz SS
J. Garcia LHP
