Well, Carpenter’s back, playing 2B instead of GGarcia as initially planned. And wow, Diaz is starting tonite. Oh is still dealing with groin issue, so wouldn’t surprise me if MM used Rosenthal tonite. Jen’s tweet says Pena caught Rosie today in BP, and Pena said Trevor seems to have his mojo back. My problem with that is 2-fold. I think Pena just says stuff people wanna’ hear that’s positive. Secondly, not sure Rosie would be reliable if it’s a pressure situation, which closing usually is.
Wacha supposedly available from the bullpen tomorrow.

Well, it’s more apparent than ever that Diaz is an integral part of the team. My goodness, Reyes was crazy on the mound. Walked 6 yet he was able to get out of trouble. He’s like CMart was at first. Still young & not as polished a pitcher as he ultimately will be.
Jaime simply doesn’t have it anymore. If the Birds want to stay competitive in the 18 or so remaining games? Reyes will probably have to take over Jaime’s place in the starting rotation.
At least the Giants lost.
Wacha in the bullpen tonite. Oh may be available as well. We might even see Rosenthal in the 8th or 9th, depending on circumstances.
I hope Gyorko’s day off results in a refreshed Jedd.
